The Department of PG Studies in Roganidana, in association with the NSS Unit, Youth Red Cross Unit, and JSS Hospital, Mysuru, had organized a Blood Donation Camp, in commemoration of the 106th Jayanthi celebration of His Holiness Jagadguru Rajagurutilaka Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, on September 20, 2021, Monday, at the JSS Ayurveda Hospital, Mysuru.

The camp was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Pallavi, Blood Bank Officer, JSS Hospital, Mysuru. In her speech, she explained about the importance of voluntary blood donation, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic situation, wherein there is a shortage of blood everywhere. Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal and Medical Superintendent, JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, spoke about blood donation, and its need in the present pandemic situation.

Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi, Dean-Academics, consultants, teaching faculties, assistant administrative officers of the Hospital and College, interns, PG Scholars and students were present.

The program started by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries.

More than 200 donors (students and faculty) were screened, and 50 units of blood were collected.
Dr. Subhash Chandra Bose M., Prof. & HOD-Roganidana, Dr. Shashi Bindu, NSS Officer, Dr. Santhosh R., Youth Red Cross, coordinated the program.
