Arthritis

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a connective tissue disorder. Patients experience swelling, pain and morning stiffness of multiple joints involving even smaller joints with the symmetrical distribution. Most of the patients will have relentless progressive polyarthritis with multiple joint deformities and marked functional impairment. Some patients will have an active stage of disease with fever, joint pain and swelling. Some will present with joint swelling and pain with no fever—some other patients present with minimum swelling and pain but with maximum deformities.

Ayurveda explains it as Amavatha. Panchakarma therapies and oral medicines vary based on the nature of the illness. Classical Ayurvedic treatment of Amavatha arrests the progression of the disease with optimal improvement in the features. Many have already benefited from the therapy at JSS Ayurveda Hospital.
