On 13th July 2023, the Department of PG Studies in Kaumarabhritya organized a special camp at JSS Sahana School for Disabled Children in Sarswathipuram, Mysuru. The camp was held on the occasion of ADHD Day in collaboration with the Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa – Manasa Roga of JSS Ayurveda Hospital, Mysuru.

Dr. Srihari S, the Professor & Head of the Department of PG Studies in Kaumarabhritya, along with Dr. Preethi H.M, Assistant Professor in the Department of PG Studies in Kaumarabhritya, and Dr. Unnikrishnan, Assistant Professor in the Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa, were the chief consultants who actively participated in the camp.

During the camp, the team screened around 37 children with conditions such as Mental Retardation, Down Syndrome, Autism, etc. Each child underwent a comprehensive assessment, and the medical team prescribed free medication to them as required.

The Principal of JSS Sahana School for Disabled Children, Smt. Sarvamangalam, and other teaching staff actively participated and supported the camp.

This special camp at JSS Sahana School for Disabled Children marked a significant effort by the Department of PG Studies in Kaumarabhritya, showcasing their commitment to extending healthcare services to disabled children, while also collaborating with the Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa – Manasa roga of JSS Ayurveda Hospital, Mysuru.
