NABH Accreditation Award Ceremony
Mysuru, December 16, 2017: The NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare) Accreditation Award ceremony was held at the JSS Hospital, in Mysuru, on dt: 15.12.2017, Friday. The NABH Accreditation is given by the Quality Council of India, a subsidiary of the Government of India.
The programme was held under the divine presence of Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.
Govt. of India’s, Quality Council of India (QCI), NABH CEO Dr. Harish Nadakarni handed over the NABH Accreditation Certificate to the Hospital on this occasion. Addressing the gathering on this occasion he observed that to get NABH Accreditation a hospital should meet 680 criteria’s including good care of the patients, prevention measures to stop epidemics and safety of the patients. However, more and more Medical Education Institutions are getting NABH Accreditation and it is a good development, he said and added that the JSS Hospital gives priority to all these criteria.
Chief Guest of the programme, Chamaraja Assembly Constituency MLA Sri Vasu congratulated the doctors and the staff. Mentioning that the JSS group is into almost every service sector like religious, spiritual, medical, education, political, etc., he said thus it is contributing for the development of the State and Country.
Mysuru Mayor Sri M.J. Ravikumar, an ex-student of JSS MVP shared his student days experience and the guidance of the elders and teachers. Recalling the contribution of the Institution in maintaining cleanliness of Mysuru City, he hoped that the same type of cooperation will continue in the future too.
JSS University Vice Chancellor Sri B. Suresh observed that the NABH Accreditation to the JSS Medical College and Hospital in its 25 years history was a milestone of quality service. He also called upon the doctors and the staff to continue the good work and retain the status. He also spoke about the existence and recent developments in the Indian medicine system amidst the strong influence of western medical system. Noting the increasing popularity of Ayurveda Medical System and yoga in recent days, he warned that the responsibilities of the doctors have increased.
In his presidential speech, JSS MVP Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath observed that the JSS group of Institutions have been strictly following cleanliness agenda and development policies. He added that the JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital is also one among the institutions that have been selected under the ‘Smart Campus’ programme.
Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Sri J. Jagadish, JSS MVP Secretary Sri S.P. Manjunath, Sri Shivakumara Swami, Medical Education Division Director Sri R. Mahesh, JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Founder Principal Dr. Channabasappa, Directors’ of various Departments of JSS MVP were present.
Former Medical Superintendent Dr. Shivaprasad Huded, spoke about the journey of the Hospital in getting NABH Accreditation.
College Principal Dr. Rajesh Udapudi welcomed the guests and the invitees. Earlier the programme commenced with an invocation by Kum. Lisha and team. JSS Ayurveda Hospital Resident Medical Officer Dr. Krishnaprasad gave a vote of thanks and Dr. Madhusudan compered.
