Mysuru, September 3, 2021: The JSS Ayurveda Hospital conducted an awareness program and general health checkup camp for the employees of Bhoruka Extrusions Private Limited, Mysuru, at their campus on September 03, 2021. The program commenced at 3.15 pm, with the lighting of a lamp, followed by a brief introduction, and welcome speech by Mr. Pradeep, HR Manager. Mrs. Nandita Shenoi explained about the hospital and introduced the doctors to the participants.
Dr. Manasa S.D., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Panchakarma gave a brief introduction about the role of Ayurveda in maintaining health, as well as cure of diseases. She also explained the various services provided at the JSS Ayurveda Hospital, facilities, and various achievements. Then Dr. Satish Pai, Reader, Dept. of Dravyaguna answered the questions of employees, followed by an explanation on eye and ENT treatments in Ayurveda by Dr. Sandhya Rani.
All the participants were screened and were referred to the concerned consultant based on their complaints. This was followed by a complete health checkup and advice. A total number of 45 patients utilized the benefit of the camp. Most of the complaints were related to stress, low back pain, myopia, joint pains, obesity, and headache. The participants expressed their gratitude to the JSS Ayurveda Hospital, doctors, and the students for their service.
The program concluded at 4.30 pm. The participants urged the organizers to conduct more such camps for the health benefit of employees.
Dr. Sandhya Rani D., Reader, Dept. of Shalakhya Tantra, Dr. Satish Pai, Reader, Dept. of Dravyaguna, Dr. Manasa S.D., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Panchakarma, Dr. Adithya J.V., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Shalya Tantra screened the patients.
Three PG students and three internees actively participated in the camp, and two hospital staff helped in proper arrangement.
