Cancer is one among the leading cause of death worldwide. It is the most dreadful, grave and tissue invading disease which gradually hampers the quality of life and causes the decreased life expectancy. It is defined as a mass of tissue formed as a result of abnormal, excessive, uncoordinated, autonomous (freedom to control itself) and purposeless proliferation (rapid and unwanted increase in the number) of cells.

General symptoms of Cancer include:

Rapid and Unexplained Weight Loss, Loss of Appetite, Nausea and Vomiting, Fatigue, Weakness, Confusion, Fever, Difficulty in Breathing, Oedema, Effusion, Frequent Infections and Pain for longer duration.

Cancer clinic in JSS Ayurveda Hospital is functioning since August 2018 to provide better quality of life in terminally ill patients. The clinic is also helpful for Cancer patients of any stage with respect to diet, medications and therapy to minimize the side effects or complications of chemo and radiotherapy. Mental health in Cancer patients is also a challenge and hence providing counseling along with Yoga therapy.

Administration of oral medications and Panchakarma (purification and rejuvenation) therapies as per the need and condition of the patient in prevention, control and in minimizing the side effects of Cancer therapies are the key areas.
